VHUT is a self-supported trail ultramarathon that traverses some of the best terrain in northern Vestfold, with only 6% asphalt in the long course! The race is organized for the 4th time on June 10-11, 2023, and stretches across two counties and five municipalities, where participants pass many locations of local historical significance. The course is unmarked, and participants must navigate using GPS, maps, and compasses. The goal of the course layout is to take participants on a journey along the finest trails and over the most beautiful peaks in northern Vestfold.

Highlights

  • The race goes through 2 counties and no less than 5 municipalities, and along the way, the runners pass many places of local historical significance.
  • New this year is the offer of transport from Hengsrød to the start for 50 and 87 km, making it easier to participate.
  • The course mostly consists of good and clear trails, but also includes "missing links" with paths that are unclear or partially overgrown.
