Run to the World's End is a duathlon where teams of two run trail and swim in open water, without a break between the two disciplines. The running distance is longer than a full marathon, in addition to eight kilometers in the water. According to the organizer, this is a fantastic way to utilize the archipelago, but there is no room for transitions between the two activities, so participants must run and swim in wetsuits and running shoes. It is recommended to use flotation devices to make it easier.
