The Lierløpet has its origins in the 40-year-old Drammen Marathon, and Sturla Athletics has been organizing this proud race in the city for several decades. The race has been given a new packaging with a faster route along the main road in Drammen and is known for having one of Europe's fastest 10 km courses. In 2023, the race was relaunched, and both Kenyan world elite runners and Norwegian runners set personal records. The course, which follows the famous Linnesrunden, is easy to run and suitable for all levels.

Highlights

  • That one of Europe's fastest 10 km courses is in Drammen is indisputable.
  • The race takes place on a wide pathway and is well-used by recreational runners in the Drammen area.
  • The finish line is at Lier Station, while the starting point varies depending on the distance.
