The Konrad Race is a memorial run for Konrad Brunstad, who started jogging after turning 70 and participated in the Ålesund Half Marathon at the age of 80. The race has been held every year since 2002, and this year, 450 people participated, of whom 380 took part in the main race. The race covers 4.5 kilometers, starting and finishing at Brunstad in Sykkylven, and begins precisely at 5:00 AM every May 1st, inspired by Konrad's early jogging routines. Participants of all ages, including children and seniors, can join at their own pace.
