The Fredrikstad Multiconsult Marathon is run in 3 equal laps of 14 km, with an additional 195 meters run first, so that the kilometer markers on all 3 laps are in the same place. The first half of the course is on asphalt, while the rest is on gravel and forest roads in Fredrikstadmarka. The course has been the same since the start of the Fredrikstad Marathon in 2001, and both the start and finish are at the FIF house at Ilaveien 132 in Fredrikstad.
