Eikenosa Opp is a mountain race that goes from Eikenosvågen up towards Emblemsfjellet. The event takes place in mid-May, and in 2025 the race will be held on Sunday, May 18th, for the 21st time, starting at 2:00 PM. The course, which is 4.470 km long, starts by the sea in Eikenosvågen, 18 km east of Ålesund city center, and finishes at Røssevollvatnet. The race runs on asphalt road in the first part and on gravel road towards the end, with an elevation gain of under 300 meters from start to finish.

Highlights

  • The course record for men is held by Johan Bugge with a time of 17 minutes and 55 seconds from 2019, while Ingrid Festøs holds the record for women with 22 minutes and 3 seconds from 2017.
  • There will be access to drinks in the finish area, and all participants in the recreational class will be included in the draw for nice prize giveaways.
  • The entry fee for the competition class is 150 NOK for everyone over 16 years old, and recreational runners without timing can participate for 50 NOK regardless of age.
