The Åndalsnesløpet is a recreational race of 5.2 km that is held annually in Åndalsnes in Rauma municipality. The race was first organized in 1989 but has been held annually since 2000. In 2025, the race will take place on Saturday, May 24, with the children's races starting at 12:00 PM and the main race at 1:00 PM. The entry fee is 200 NOK, which includes a one-time license, and pre-registration closes the evening before the race.

Highlights

  • The course is relatively flat with a 40-meter elevation difference, and the surface consists mostly of gravel paths, some grass, and about 500 meters of asphalt.
  • The Åndalsnes Race has had around 300 participants in previous years, with 228 participants in 2023, of which 115 ran the five-kilometer race and 113 took part in the children's race.
  • The race is held on the first Saturday after May 17th every year.
